Menu System: Command structure is logical and concise, using icons, toolbars and pull down menus. All standard AutoCAD LT menus are available and are left in their original positions. There are also many utility functions built into the program which help to cut down on the time needed to produce a set of plans. Floor Plans: Walls can be drawn by either the point and shoot method or by direct distance entry. Wall thickness is user defined. Interior walls, windows and doors reference off of existing walls. This allows exact placement of these objects. Windows and doors can be resized or moved at any time. Symbols and tags are contained in icon menus. Real Architect contains a wide selection of standard fixture and appliance blocks. You can also use any blocks you may already have, or use "vendor" blocks that are available from companies like Kohler, Andersen and Pella. |

Self Cleaning Walls: There are predefined multiple line patterns that have user defined width settings. These widths can be changed at any time. In addition, you can add as many lines in a wall as you wish. Wall lines are automatically cleaned up at intersections. Wall fills adjust automatically when walls are stretched, or windows or doors are moved. Parametric Windows and Doors: Real Architect 2008 features parametric windows and doors that automatically cut openings in wall lines, regardless of the number of lines contained in the wall. The parametric sizing feature allows you to define the size of any window or door on the fly, as they are placed, instead of being constrained by a collection of window or door blocks. This parametric feature is applicable to both plan and elevation windows and doors. Headers have been added to openings and allow for accurate room area calculations. These headers can be turned on or off at any time with a single pick. Layer Controls: Real Architect 2008 contains a layer control toolbox, similar to the Bonus toobar in full AutoCAD. It allows you to manipulate layers by selecting entities on the screen. Commands include layer on, off, freeze, thaw, set, copy, change, isolate, lock, unlock, etc.. |

Elevation Builder: Real Architect 2008 contains a full set of elevation building tools. Wall and header heights are user defined. Elevation windows and doors are applied with a new insertion routine that automatically picks up the header height. Wall and roof hatching is applied easily and automatically cuts around window and door openings. Elevation roof lines are easy to apply and have user defined pitch and eave overhangs. New Polyline Doors have been added to this release. The frame, as well as door width and height, are user defined. These doors round out the elevation building tools. |

Section Builder: The section menu contains a set of tools that let you build sections according to your local building practices and codes. Because of the variation in codes and building methods, the program is not weighed down with a bunch of blocks that you may or may not use. Instead, we give you the means of creating parametric sections quickly. New parametric tools have been added that make section drawing much easier. |

Elevation Cabinets: Kitchen cabinets are quickly drawn with our cabinet module, which is part of the standard program. Insertion points can now be switched from left to right as you place the cabinet. There are libraries containing a wide selection of base and wall cabinets. Cabinet swing lines can be switched at any time. A new appliance library has been added that includes refrigerators, ranges and range hoods. |

Drawing Setup Control: Real Architect 2008 drawing setup interface allows you to set all your drawing variables, such as wall width, height, header height and roof pitch, from a single toolbox. These settings are saved and are re-called whenever you start a new drawing. They can be modified at any time and saved. Reflected Ceiling Plans: A new reflected ceiling plan toolbar has been added to Real Architect 2008. It allows you to build the plan with just a few picks of the mouse. Ceiling grids can be applied if desired. This no nonsense set of tools will definitely cut a good deal out of your drafting time. Elevation PolyLine Windows: The polyline windows have user defined frame width as well as window width and height. They can be edited with regular AutoCAD commands without having to be exploded. Muntins can be added to the windows individually. Elevation PolyLine Doors: The polyline doors are new to this release. The user defines the frame width as well as door width and height. This command allows you to easily add doors of any size to your elevations. Roof plans: Real Architect 2008 has all the tools necessary to lay out a roof plan quickly and accurately. Appliances,Fixtures and Furniture: Large libraries of kitchen appliances, bath and kitchen fixtures, electrical symbols and tags are provided with the program. Survey Tools: Real Architect 2008 has a set of tools for drawing and labeling site plans and property lines. These tools can help you to quickly lay out the boundaries of a piece of property and site the structures on it. Color Controls: The commands in the Layer toolbar allow you change layer colors on entities picked on the screen. You may also change the layer colors of building elements such as walls, windows and doors, with a single pick. Great for plotting or just clarifying your drawing. Level Control: This feature allows users to "stack" multi-level floor plans. These levels can be isolated from each other for clarity and plotting. Layering is automatic on a floor by floor basis. New Features in Real Architect 2008: A Landscape and Irrigation module has been added to this release. It contains all the commands and tools necessary to create complete landscaping and irrigation plans. The irrigation system piping can be drawn as either a single or double line. Both can be drawn with angles and curves if you are using flexible PVC. Elbows, tee's, reducers and other symbols are automatically scaled to the size of pipe you are using. You can change this at anytime with a single pick. Sprinklers are drawn showing spray pattern and drip lines can be routed easily around curbing, walkways and buildings. Drip heads can be added by simply selecting the drip line and specifying the distance between heads. |

HVAC Tools: A new HVAC module has also been added to this release. It contains all the commands and tools necessary to create complete HVAC plans. The HVAC system piping can be drawn as either a single or double line. If you are drawing double line ducting, all elbows, tee's, wye's and other symbols are automatically scaled to the size of the duct you are using. You can change this at anytime with a single pick. |
